Insurance

Everyone should know about insurance, it’s not complicated but some people do get very confused.

In most states when you register a car you pay for Compulsory Third Party insurance this covers any one that is injured in an accident but doesn’t cover any damage that you may do to property like buildings or other cars.

To insure for property damage there are three to choose from;-

  • Third party property damage only: this cover any damage that you do but not any damage to your car
  • Third party fire & theft: this again covers any damage that you do but also covers your vehicle if it is stolen or burnt.
  • Comprehensive: this covers any damage that you do and any damage to your car

Question: what if someone damages my car but I only have Third Party property damage? You will need to contact the other person for their insurance company details or have the other person pay for the damage.

Good luck
